About My Blog
This is my personal blog and is focused on helping people find their purpose, develop passion and nurture healthy relationships. I write about leadership, integrity, passion, purpose, marriage, relationships, growth, life learning and many other topics designed to help people grow.
I try to focus on self leadership because it all starts with leading yourself before leading others. I post once a week and hope you will sign up for future posts.
I was raised by a mom that loved God and was introduced to God at the age of 13. My journey became very turbulent when I left home at 17 and quit serving God for over 10 years. During that time I becan addicted to many substances that hindered my journey.
At 19 I enlisted in the U.S. Army and servied for over 7 years including Dessert Storm. After the Army I continued to struggle with addictions until I became so tired of running from God I finally surrendered on Jan. 1, 1994 never looking back.
After turning my life over to God I immediately began sharing my testimony and preaching in local churches.
In 2000 I moved to Phoeniz, AZ and attended Tommy Barnett’s Phoeniz Firsts Pastors College and went on to earn my BA in Christian Studies with an emphasis in pastoral ministries.
For the past 20 years I have served in many different areas in the church to include: senor pastor, associate pastor, director of ministries, college professor, teacher and evangelist. I alos earned two MA’s from Libery University in Management & Leadership and Human Services (Marriage & Family).
Currently I teach for an online college and work as a Chaplain for Hospice. I started Tony Hendley Ministries in 2004 as a envgelistic ministry and am currently establiship and weekly blog and podcast to help inspire and prepare individuals to succeed in their God given purpose.
I am married to Brenda and have two boys Seth and Judah.
